In a recent interview, Durov shared insights into his rigorous wellness practices, which prompted podcaster Lex Fridman to describe them as "crazy." Durov emphasizes the importance of self-discipline, stating that he starts every day with 300 push-ups and 300 squats. In addition, he trains at the gym five to six times a week, dedicating one to two hours daily to working out.


Although he admits that his workout can become monotonous, he believes it serves a vital purpose. "They're not that hard; just boring. But once you push through, it becomes easier to tackle other work-related tasks," he explains.


Durov's fitness routine doesn't stop at exercises. He incorporates extreme practices like ice baths to test his self-discipline, stating, "The primary muscle you can exercise is self-discipline. Once you train that, everything else follows naturally." He believes that the temporary discomfort of ice baths leads to long-lasting benefits.


He also engages in extreme heat therapy through sauna sessions, following the Eastern European "Banya" tradition. Durov notes that this combination of extreme temperatures is intense but has become a regular part of his routine. He emphasizes the long-term health benefits of enduring brief discomfort.
