Standing before the iconic 182-meter Statue of Unity, one can't help but be awed by its scale. This statue, dedicated to Sardar Patel, symbolizes the unity of India.

About the Statue of Unity

The Statue of Unity is an architectural marvel made from 210,000 cubic meters of concrete, 18,500 tonnes of reinforced steel, and bronze cladding. It can withstand strong winds and earthquakes, making it a true engineering feat.

The statue houses a museum that chronicles Patel's contributions to India's unification, showcasing his enduring legacy through photographs and artifacts donated by farmers.

Planning Your Visit

Getting to the Statue of Unity is straightforward. It's located 91 km from Vadodara Airport, and the nearest railway station is Ektanagar. A taxi ride from the airport to Tent City-1 costs approximately ₹3,800.

Where to Stay

Consider staying at the Statue of Unity Tent City-1, which features 58 cottages and villas. Rates start at ₹14,000 per night, inclusive of meals and guided tours.

What to Do

Visitors can enjoy several attractions including:

  • The viewing gallery for stunning views of the surrounding landscape
