Archana Puran Singh Rates Mumbai’s Iconic Sandwich Spots
In a delightful family outing, Archana Puran Singh, along with her husband and son, set out to review some of Mumbai's iconic sandwich spots. Their culinary adventure took them to three renowned eateries: Ideal Point, Raju Sandwich, and Lucky.
Ideal Point
The first stop was Ideal Point, located at Nariman Point. The owner, who has been serving customers for over 32 years, shared his passion for sandwiches. The family ordered a classic Bombay sandwich with vegetables and green chutney for ₹30. Archana remarked on the grilled nature of the sandwich, while Parmeet reminisced about his school days. Their son, Ayushmann, humorously added, "It has to be sinful with butter inside and outside!"
Raju Sandwich
Next, they visited Raju Sandwich in Churchgate, a beloved spot known for its delicious offerings. The family ordered a cheesy panini for ₹150 and a Bombay sandwich for ₹40. Unlike Ideal Point, this sandwich was grilled, earning praise from Archana and Parmeet.
Lucky
The final stop was Lucky Sandwich Point in Vile Parle, where Archana sampled a Bombay sandwich and a grilled veg cheese sandwich, priced at ₹60 and ₹200 respectively. The owner recommended a special masala toast with potato filling for ₹120. The Sethi family concluded their tasting adventure by declaring Lucky's sandwich the best among the three.
This fun-filled outing not only highlighted the vibrant street food culture of Mumbai but also showcased the family's love for food and each other.
