Akshay Kumar’s Essential Advice for Bollywood Newcomers: Avoid Multi-Film Deals
Akshay Kumar recently shared valuable advice for aspiring actors at an award ceremony, emphasizing the importance of being cautious with contracts. Drawing from Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood, he warned newcomers against signing multi-film agreements. When asked by host Shah Rukh Khan to provide guidance for first-time actors, Akshay stated, "Never sign a three-film deal with any producer." He highlighted the lessons that can be learned from Aryan’s series, illustrating the challenges debut actors may encounter. Akshay remarked, "You must have seen The Ba**ds of Bollywood and the struggles faced by our hero. The film clearly outlines what a debutant should and should not do." He humorously suggested that newcomers should have the freedom to explore opportunities, quoting, "Let them free; if they belong to you, they will come back." This garnered laughter from the audience. Reflecting on his own career choices, Akshay expressed, "Money attracts money, and similarly, work attracts money. I often choose projects based on the story, even if my role is small, because I want to be part of something significant." He also stressed the importance of discipline for longevity in the industry: "If you manage to get that right, you will be able to stay in this industry for a long time."
