Aneet Padda’s Journey: The Moment She Knew She Wanted to Act
Actor Aneet Padda, now recognized for her role in Saiyaara, reflects on her early aspirations to become an actor. In a recent interview, she shared a significant moment from her childhood that shaped her career path.
Aneet recalled her first taste of performance during a school poetry competition. As a child, she often daydreamed and delivered her poems without much emotion. Her mother encouraged her to connect with the material, saying, 'Stop overthinking and say it the way you feel it.' This advice became a cornerstone of her acting approach.
Winning first place in that competition made her realize the joy of performing. 'I remember thinking, wow, that feels kind of nice. I wouldn’t mind another one,' she said with a smile.
From School Plays to Self-Discovery
Over the years, Aneet participated in numerous school plays, often joking about being cast as 'the equivalent of a tree.' Despite her talent, she didn't initially view acting as a viable career. However, her teachers recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue it seriously.
One pivotal moment was when her principal told her, 'You’re very good at this. I don’t think you know.' This was the first time Aneet considered acting as a genuine skill rather than just an extracurricular activity.
On Fan Love and the Pressure of Support
With a growing fanbase, Aneet feels a profound connection to her supporters. 'I’m very sensitive. I feel things deeply,' she shared. 'The responsibility of love can feel pressurizing, but it's also beautiful.' Her fans often create emotional tributes to her and her co-star Ahaan Panday, which she finds deeply touching.
'I cry once a week looking at the edits my fans make. Their effort and love inspire me to do justice to it,' she expressed.
What’s Next for Aneet Padda
Following the success of Saiyaara, Aneet is set to star in her next film, Shakti Shalini, a part of Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe, scheduled for release in December 2026. Although details are scarce, fans eagerly await her next move.
