Ayushmann Khurrana Celebrates ‘Thamma’s’ 100 Crore Success with Stree Connection
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana recently celebrated the success of his film Thamma, which crossed the 100 crore mark shortly after its release this Diwali. This comedy marks his entry into the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, alongside co-star Rashmika Mandanna. The film features nods to previous hits like Stree and Munjya, with memorable cameos, including Varun Dhawan.
In a special celebration, Ayushmann teamed up with his brother, Aparshakti Khurana, who also appears in the horror-comedy genre. The two shared a hilarious video referencing their characters, with Aparshakti jokingly stating, “Hum toh soche ki Bicky ki girlfriend hi bhootiya hai… Yahan toh humaara apna bhai bhi bhootiya nikla.” The shared laughter continues as they express their bond and gratitude for the audience's love for the film.
A standout moment in Thamma involved a meta-joke where Abhishek Banerjee's character mistook Ayushmann's character for Bittu from Stree, adding another layer of humor as Bittu is played by Aparshakti. Ayushmann revealed that this scene was a last-minute addition, showcasing the spontaneity and fun of the filming process.
Fans are eagerly anticipating a crossover between their characters in future projects within the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. Stay tuned for more updates!
