Bazm-e-Virasat 2025: Celebrating Culture and Arts in Prayagraj
The vibrant city of Prayagraj is gearing up for the much-anticipated Bazm-e-Virasat 2025, a cultural festival scheduled for December 19-21. This three-day event will showcase a rich tapestry of sessions focused on culture, literature, cinema, and sports, along with performances that highlight the city's illustrious heritage.
Organized by Bishop Johnson School, this year's festival promises an exciting lineup featuring acclaimed filmmakers and artists such as Jaideep Ahlawat, Anurag Basu, Anubhav Sinha, and the renowned music group Indian Ocean.
A significant highlight will be the film discussion session that includes notable personalities like Leena Yadav and Tigmanshu Dhulia. Attendees can also look forward to an exclusive one-on-one session with Jaideep Ahlawat, alongside an 'Actors Table' featuring Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao.
The festival will also feature various cultural performances over the three days, such as a dastangoi performance titled Dastan-e-Sarfaroshi by Himanshu Bajpai and others, and a musical concert by the Indian Ocean.
Additionally, there will be engaging discussions on sports, including a special 'Cricket Talk' with former cricketers Mohd Kaif and Praveen Kumar.
This festival not only aims to celebrate the arts but also seeks to revive the cultural legacy of Prayagraj, as expressed by organizer Tigmanshu Dhulia: “Our endeavor is to honor the city’s rich cultural scene and the legends it has nurtured.”
