Controversy Surrounds O Romeo as Hussain Ustara’s Daughter Demands ₹2 Crore
Days after the teaser for Vishal Bhardwaj’s film O Romeo was unveiled, it has ignited a minor controversy. The film’s producers, director Vishal Bhardwaj and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, have received a demand from Sanober Shaikh, the daughter of the late gangster Hussain Ustara. She is requesting a sum of ₹2 crore and a postponement of the film’s release until her demands are fulfilled.
The letter, sent last week, claims that O Romeo may portray Hussain Ustara negatively, jeopardizing the family’s reputation. Sanober has asked for monetary compensation and has requested that the film's release be halted until her concerns are addressed.
Is O Romeo Inspired by Hussain Ustara?
The teaser hints at an action-packed narrative filled with violence and romance, but details about the plot remain undisclosed. The film stars Shahid Kapoor as a gunman, although it is unclear whether the storyline relates to Hussain Ustara’s life or his notorious feud with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
