Explore Vir Das’ Unique Mumbai Home: A Personal Collection of Love and Art
Actor-comedian Vir Das recently shared a glimpse of his boho-chic Mumbai residence in a vlog featuring filmmaker Farah Khan. The home is characterized by its emphasis on comfort and personal touch rather than conventional decor.
Vir humorously noted, "There’s no decor. This house is just a collection of things we love. Nothing matches." After moving into this flat a year ago, he transitioned from living in Goa for nearly five years.
Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a spacious living room that exudes warmth, thanks to soft lighting and lower ceilings that create a cozy atmosphere. Boldly colored sofas paired with soft rugs set an inviting tone, while wooden furniture integrates seamlessly into the surroundings. The wall decor is minimal, showcasing a few selected artworks that resonate with Vir’s personal taste.
Farah appreciated the unique vibe of the space, describing it as "very boho and eclectic." The home’s earthy tones and casual layout stand in refreshing contrast to the bustling energy of Mumbai.
From Cozy Corners to a Lush Backyard Retreat
Indian textiles and a love for art prominently feature throughout the interiors, adding a natural flair. The living room even includes a dedicated area for their pets, emphasizing their significance in daily life. This space transitions into a snug dining area designed for intimate meals.
Large floor-to-ceiling windows flood the home with natural light, while simple curtains and indoor plants enhance the ambiance. The backyard is a lush retreat filled with greenery, ideal for entertaining friends or enjoying peaceful moments outdoors.
