Flipperachi’s FA9LA: A Guinness World Record Through Dhurandhar
Bahraini rapper Flipperachi has made waves in the music world by securing a Guinness World Record, attributed to his song FA9LA featured in the film Dhurandhar. This film, starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, has not only catapulted him into the Indian music scene but also resurrected his track on the Arabic Billboard, despite its earlier release in May 2024.
The record was announced during a surprise photoshoot with the Arab Billboard and Guinness World Records Arabia teams. Flipperachi set the record for the most Billboard charts topped simultaneously with a single song, as FA9LA dominated four different Arabic Billboard charts on January 1.
Reflecting on the song's success, Flipperachi expressed his astonishment at its viral popularity, stating, “I was shocked the first time I saw it blowing up on social media.” The song was strategically placed in a dance scene featuring Akshaye Khanna, contributing significantly to its newfound fame.
With plans for his debut tour in India kicking off on March 14 at the UN40 Music Festival in Bengaluru, Flipperachi is poised to further expand his audience. His journey in the Arab Hip-Hop scene spans over two decades, and he has gained recognition for his unique style of rapping in Arabic.
Dhurandhar, which premiered on Netflix on January 30 after grossing over ₹1328 crore worldwide, has also set the stage for the upcoming sequel, Dhurandhar 2, scheduled for release on March 19.
