Kiran Rao Shares Her Chikungunya Battle and Recovery Journey

Bollywood filmmaker Kiran Rao recently provided an update on her health, revealing that she has contracted chikungunya. She shared her recovery journey through social media, expressing gratitude for the support she has received from friends and her pet cat.

On Instagram, Kiran posted a photo of herself resting on a sofa with her cat nearby, captioning it with a light-hearted note about her condition: "Ok folks, I now have chikungunya, and yes, Miri is an excellent paramedic, timely monitoring her mama's fever."

In another post, she detailed her recovery process, stating, "Taking it slow, admiring my friends' cards, and catching up on my reading when I can hold up the book! I know you know this, but the joint pain is intense. TAKE ALL PRECAUTIONS." This highlights the seriousness of the illness, which is known for causing high fever and debilitating joint pain.

Kiran Rao, who made her directorial debut with the film 'Dhobi Ghat' in 2011, is also known for producing successful films like 'Dangal' and 'Secret Superstar'. Currently, she is looking forward to her upcoming project, 'Lust Stories 3', which will feature a talented ensemble cast and is set to release on Netflix later this year.
