Love Island: All Stars Filming Delayed Due to Wildfires
Filming for ITV's Love Island: All Stars has been postponed indefinitely following the outbreak of wildfires near the villa in South Africa. The series was scheduled to premiere on January 12.
ITV announced the filming halt via the show's official Instagram, emphasizing the priority of health and safety. The post stated, "Due to ongoing wildfires in the area, filming will need to be postponed. The transmission date for 'Love Island: All Stars' will be confirmed later."
As wildfires continue to rage in the Western Cape region, the cast and crew had gathered at the villa in Franschhoek, close to Cape Town, when the fires broke out.
Local authorities, in collaboration with the South African Air Force, are battling several blazes, which have resulted in road closures around the area. While some firefighting efforts have seen progress, other regions remain out of control.
An insider revealed, "It's a nightmare. The team is scrambling to find alternative options on one of the most challenging days for logistics. It's crucial that the islanders don't see each other before entering the villa."
In light of the postponement, ITV will air a Love Island: Decade of Love reunion special instead, featuring past contestants discussing the show’s legacy.
