Navjot Singh Sidhu Remembers Kapil Sharma’s Humble Beginnings: ‘He Looked 45 at 25’
Navjot Singh Sidhu has recently reminisced about the early days of Kapil Sharma, recalling how the comedian looked dramatically different back then. He humorously noted, 'He had no hair, a potbelly, and looked like he was 45 years old.' This candid remark showcases Sidhu's affection for Sharma, who has since become one of India's most famous entertainers.
Sidhu emphasized the importance of having a platform for talent to shine, stating, 'Talent needs a platform and without opportunity, it means nothing.' He shared that Sharma's journey began with humble beginnings, working for ₹100 at a local theatre. It wasn't until 2006, when he first appeared on television, that his true potential was unleashed.
Reflecting on the challenges of pursuing one's passion, Sidhu remarked, 'Following your passion isn’t easy. Society often discourages it. The biggest illness is worrying about what others think.'
Kapil Sharma's rise to fame is a testament to his hard work and resilience. He gained national attention after winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007, which launched his successful career. His relatable humor and sharp wit led to the creation of iconic shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show, making him a household name.
Through his journey, Sidhu and Sharma have both shown that with the right opportunities, talent can flourish, turning dreams into reality.
