Prajakta Koli: Embracing Negativity and Growth
New Delhi, Prajakta Koli reveals that over her 11-year journey as a content creator and now an actor, she has learned to manage negativity and baseless hate while valuing genuine criticism.
The star of "Mismatched" shared that she has developed a thick skin, stating, "I've been a creator for 11 years and now I have become thick skinned. I've just put everything out for so long. But having said that, criticism has always been very important for me. Now, what I do has no blueprint."
Koli, who gained fame through her relatable comedy sketches on her YouTube channel MostlySane and made her Bollywood debut with "Jugjugg Jeeyo", emphasized the importance of feedback in her growth. She mentioned, "Whatever I've learnt, I've learnt on the job because of that, I cannot work as efficiently."
Reflecting on her experiences with online hate, Koli stated, "I've become used to baseless hate, so it doesn't affect me that much. I know that if it works out tomorrow, they'll support me. If it doesn't, they won't leave me. They'll tell me that this didn't work out. I trust my community, no matter what."
As she continues to navigate the film industry, Koli expressed her excitement and nervousness about working with established actors. Her upcoming project is the comedy-drama series "Single Papa", where she plays Gaurav's sister, Namrata, alongside Kunal Kemmu and other seasoned actors.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the series explores the chaotic journey of a lovable man-child who decides to adopt a baby, showcasing the challenges of single parenthood. Koli's enthusiasm for the project stems from her admiration for Khaitan's previous works, making her eager to be a part of this venture.
