Rahul Khanna on Why He Hasn’t Watched Dhurandhar Yet
Dhurandhar has quickly become one of the most-watched Indian films of the year, earning glowing reviews and shattering box office records. However, one surprising individual close to the franchise has yet to see it — Rahul Khanna, the brother of Akshaye Khanna.
Akshaye's role as Rehman Dakait in the Ranveer Singh-led thriller has made him a prominent figure in 2025. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has surpassed major blockbusters like Jawan and Pathaan. Yet, despite its success, Rahul Khanna revealed he has not watched the film yet.
Why Rahul Khanna Hasn't Watched Dhurandhar Yet
In a recent conversation, Rahul explained, “I haven’t seen the movie yet. I’m waiting for him to show it to me.” He also complimented his brother's appearance in the film, stating, “Anything he wears looks great, so I’m sure he looks fantastic in the film.”
Rahul Khanna, the younger son of late actor Vinod Khanna, shares a close but understated bond with Akshaye. In a previous interview, Akshaye reflected on their relationship, emphasizing the importance of family ties.
Legacy of the Khanna Family
Vinod Khanna was married to Geetanjali Khanna, the mother of Akshaye and Rahul. The veteran actor notably left his film career to follow spiritual leader Osho to the United States, returning to India in 1990.
Akshaye’s Record-Breaking Year
2025 has been remarkable for Akshaye, with standout performances including his role as Aurangzeb in Chhaava. With both Chhaava and Dhurandhar achieving massive success, Akshaye has become only the second Bollywood actor, after Shah Rukh Khan, to exceed a cumulative ₹2,000 crore at the box office within a single year.
