Veteran actor Pankaj Dheer, renowned for his role as Karna in the iconic series Mahabharat, passed away on October 15 after a long battle with cancer. His former co-stars, including Karan Tacker, Vatsal Sheth, and Ishita Dutta, paid heartfelt tributes, reflecting on his kindness and joyful spirit.
Arjun Firoz Khan expressed his sorrow, stating, "He was one of the finest gentlemen I've ever worked with. Pankaj had an infectious smile that brought joy to everyone around him."
Karan Tacker recalled his first encounter with Dheer, saying, "He treated me like a son, with so much kindness. His passing is truly shocking, but he'll always be remembered with love and respect."
Ishita Dutta reminisced about their time together, sharing, "He used to bring sandwiches from home for me, showcasing his caring nature. Life is too short, and my prayers are with his family."
Vatsal Sheth also shared his thoughts, stating, "It's very sad news. Pankaj ji always made sure we were comfortable, even bringing us buttermilk during hot shoots in Goa."
Tanuj Virwani, who worked with him on the show Poison, described him as courteous and supportive, highlighting the loss felt across the industry.
