Sanjay Gupta Praises ‘Dhurandhar’ and Its Impact on Future Films
Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta has recently expressed his admiration for the film 'Dhurandhar', directed by Aditya Dhar and featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The film, a spy thriller released on December 5, has been making waves at the box office.
Gupta took to social media, praising 'Dhurandhar' along with 'Animal' and 'KGF', stating that these films have set new benchmarks for the industry. He remarked, “The thing about films like ANIMAL, KGF & DHURANDHAR is that they set new benchmarks and films that were being made with them but release after get dwarfed.”
Both 'Animal', starring Ranbir Kapoor, and 'KGF', featuring Yash, have been significant hits, with 'Animal' sparking discussions about its themes of toxic masculinity and violence. Meanwhile, 'KGF' has been a landmark for Kannada cinema, achieving impressive box office records.
In his review, Sanjay Gupta highlighted the impeccable casting in 'Dhurandhar', expressing his appreciation for Mukesh Chhabra's work. He noted, “Just thinking about #Dhurandhar and one thing I can't get out of my head is the casting of each and every character. IMPECCABLE.”
As 'Dhurandhar' continues to dominate the box office, having already crossed ₹500 crore in India, it appears to have set a high standard for future films.
