SSC Updates PwD Documentation Process with New Forms for Candidates

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently updated the formats for disability certificates required for its examinations. This change comes in response to new guidelines from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD).

According to the SSC notice (F.No. 02/1/2022-RHQ), the revised formats align with the DEPwD notification dated October 16, 2024. Candidates will now need to submit their disability certificates in two specific formats:

Form V – Certificate of Disability (for Single Disability)

Form VI – Certificate of Disability (for Multiple Disabilities)

These new forms replace the three previous formats—Form V, Form VI, and Form VII—that were previously utilized across various recruitment notices.

The SSC has confirmed that the updated formats have been officially introduced, and they are included in the notice for candidate reference.

For ongoing recruitment cycles, candidates will have the flexibility to submit their disability certificates in either the new formats or the older versions, provided the notices were issued after October 16, 2024. This allowance aims to support candidates who may still possess certificates issued in the previous formats.

The SSC's initiative is designed to standardize documentation processes while ensuring that candidates participating in current recruitment activities are not inconvenienced.
