Swara Bhasker Addresses Backlash Over Nestle Product Use During Iftar
Swara Bhasker recently sparked a conversation on social media after her Iftar preparation video featured a Nestle product. This decision drew criticism from users who highlighted that Nestlé is on boycott lists associated with the Palestinian cause. The backlash led to discussions about corporate responsibility and consumer awareness.
In response to the criticism, Swara took to social media to address the issue directly. She acknowledged the concern, stating, “I posted a couple of stories of my Iftaar preparation, which is the only thing I know how to do, which is make food cream.” She expressed her surprise upon learning that Nestlé is associated with a boycott due to its ties to Zionist connections.
Swara further remarked, “I am a big advocate of BDS and I try hard to practice it as much as I can, especially looking at the personal products we use. But I do struggle with some of them. I'm still learning. Thank you for pointing that out, and I will try and be as careful as I can.”
While some users criticized her for the oversight, many fans commended her for her openness and willingness to engage with the feedback. Supporters expressed their appreciation, with comments like, “You are an inspiration, Swara! Love you” and “We all make mistakes – thanks for being an advocate!”
On the professional front, Swara Bhasker was recently seen alongside her politician-husband, Fahad Ahmad, on the reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga. She is also awaiting the release of her upcoming film Mrs. Falani, which promises to be a social comedy-drama featuring her in multiple roles across various regions.
