Kannada superstar Yash’s film, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, is set to clash with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 at the box office on March 19. The teaser for Toxic has sparked excitement among fans, leading to discussions on social media about which film will dominate.
In the midst of this buzz, old clips resurfaced on Reddit where Yash and Ranveer compliment each other's work. In a 2018 interview, Yash shared his initial sentiments about Ranveer, stating, "I didn’t like Ranveer Singh’s work initially, but I started liking him from Bajirao Mastani. In Padmaavat, he was stunning." He also expressed admiration for Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in Sanju.
Ranveer Singh, in turn, praised Yash's performance in KGF. In a 2022 interview, he mentioned, "I was cheering for Yash while watching KGF alone in bed. I love that cinema; it’s my first love."

Dhurandhar 2 is a sequel to the hit film Dhurandhar. Directed by Aditya Dhar, this spy action thriller draws inspiration from real-life events, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 2001 Indian Parliament attack. The film will explore Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza’s backstory and his covert anti-terror operations.
