Yasmin, a well-known Pilates instructor with over 30 years of experience, highlights the importance of maintaining a balanced approach to health and fitness. She believes that relying on these drugs as quick fixes can lead to detrimental side effects, including muscle loss.


In her view, while medications like semaglutide (Ozempic) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro) can be beneficial for individuals with severe health issues, they should not be the first choice for those just looking to lose a few kilograms. "Many people are opting for these injectables without understanding the long-term consequences," she warns.


Yasmin explains that muscle is crucial for overall health, especially as we age. "It's easier to gain fat than to build muscle, and losing muscle can lead to osteoporosis and other health problems," she cautions.


Instead of turning to weight-loss drugs, she advocates for a comprehensive fitness plan that includes strength training, a nutritious diet, and proper hydration. This holistic approach, according to Yasmin, is essential for achieving sustainable health goals.


During the launch of her Yasmin Karachiwala Body Image studio in New Delhi, she emphasized the importance of a positive body image. Fitness should not be solely about appearance; it's about how we feel and function in our daily lives.


Yasmin Karachiwala's insights serve as a reminder that true wellness comes from a balanced lifestyle rather than quick fixes.
