IIM Raipur Celebrates 16 Years: A Milestone Foundation Day Gathering

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur proudly celebrated its 16th Foundation Day on October 11, 2025. This significant event gathered esteemed leaders from academia and industry, who reflected on the institute’s journey and its future role in shaping the workforce.

Among the distinguished guests were Prof. Bharat Bhasker, Director of IIM Ahmedabad; Sambasivan G, CFO of Tata Play; and Rajeev Jain, Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing at DS Group.

During the celebration, faculty and staff were honored for their dedication with Certificates of Appreciation. Outstanding PhD scholars were also recognized for their academic excellence and research contributions, underscoring the institute’s commitment to innovation and knowledge advancement.

Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, the Director-in-charge, remarked that IIM Raipur has cultivated a robust academic ecosystem and has emerged as a hub for research and industry collaboration. He emphasized the institute's commitment to nurturing future-ready leaders capable of navigating complexities with agility and purpose.

The event featured a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Ritu Gupta, which provided deep insights into the evolving landscape of skills essential for the workforce of tomorrow. Experts discussed the significance of digital transformation, innovation, and ethical leadership as pivotal competencies for the next generation of professionals.

Over the past 16 years, IIM Raipur has achieved remarkable milestones, enhancing its national standing and expanding its Post Graduate Program (PGP) student strength to 343 in 2025. The institute also registered impressive placement outcomes for the Class of 2025, with the highest CTC reaching ₹43.4 LPA, and average and median CTCs at ₹19.7 LPA and ₹18.5 LPA, respectively.

Looking ahead, IIM Raipur plans to expand its academic offerings by introducing new MBA and Executive MBA programs, establishing a Centre for Entrepreneurship, and strengthening its Incubation Centre to foster innovation and entrepreneurial growth.
