King’s College London Launches Scholarships for Indian Students
King's College London has announced a new round of scholarships aimed at Indian students for the third consecutive year. This initiative is designed to alleviate financial barriers for postgraduate students wishing to pursue degrees that create a positive societal impact.
The Vice-Chancellor's Awards will provide up to 5,000 pounds in fee reductions for as many as 40 Indian students who will be studying full-time on campus starting September 2026.
Applicants must demonstrate how they intend to utilize their education to benefit society and outline their academic and personal plans during their time at the university.
Professor Shitij Kapur, Vice-Chancellor and President of King's College London, expressed his pride in launching this initiative, highlighting his own journey from Delhi to pursuing postgraduate studies abroad.
He noted, "We are inspired by our award recipients each year, and I look forward to welcoming the next winners to King's in September." The scholarships are available for students accepted into various faculties, including Arts and Humanities, Law, Psychiatry, Business, Life Sciences, and more.
With a strong historical connection to India, King's College London aims to support talented students from the region. Since the inception of the Vice-Chancellor's Awards in 2024, the program has helped 60 students achieve their academic goals.
A previous recipient, Tilottama, shared her experience, stating that the award boosted her confidence and enabled her to engage more fully with postgraduate life, allowing her to pursue meaningful opportunities.
The application process for the 2026 scholarships is open until the end of May, with interested students encouraged to apply through the official King's College London website.
