KITE Launches Innovative Digital Security System for Higher Secondary Exams in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, KITE, the technology wing of Kerala's General Education Department, has unveiled a QR code-based mobile application aimed at enhancing security, transparency, and accuracy during Higher Secondary examinations. This initiative is set to take effect from March 5.
The 'KITE-QTrack' app allows for real-time tracking of the examination process, starting from the unsealing of question paper packets at exam centers to the dispatch of answer scripts to evaluation camps.
KITE officials have circulated a directive requiring all Chief and Deputy Chief Superintendents to download the 'KITE-QTrack' app from the Android Play Store and log in by March 4.
KITE's CEO, K Anvar Sadath, emphasized that this app is part of a broader initiative to automate the entire examination process, from admissions to result publication. The integrated digital system will facilitate post-examination services, including duplicate certificate distribution and revaluation requests, along with secure online payment options for students.
During examination days, updates must be logged at every stage through the app, starting from when the question paper packets are removed. If an incorrect subject packet is scanned, an error message will appear, instantly reporting the issue as an 'incident' to the examination wing.
Additionally, the app requires specific details such as track ID, weight, and dispatch time to be entered when sending answer scripts to the camps. It also enables immediate reporting of any malpractices or technical difficulties encountered during the exams. A user guide and video tutorial have been made available for users.
Online training sessions for relevant officials will commence at the district level, led by KITE Master Trainers.
