Faridabad Schools Prohibited from Creating Short Videos During Class Hours

The Faridabad administration has issued a directive to all schools, mandating that students, teachers, and staff refrain from creating reels or short videos during class hours. This measure aims to ensure that academic integrity, discipline, and the dignity of educational institutions are not compromised.

In a circular released recently, the Faridabad district education office noted that the creation of short videos on school premises for entertainment purposes has become a concern. School leaders have been instructed to strictly prohibit such activities during teaching time.

The directive emphasizes that any actions disrupting the teaching and learning process, or distracting students, must be avoided, ensuring that the focus remains on education.

However, the education office has stated that content related to academic, cultural, or awareness themes may be produced with prior approval from the relevant authorities and under the supervision of teachers, while safeguarding the academic schedule and students' safety and privacy.

Furthermore, the directive clarifies that no inappropriate or non-academic material is to be recorded on school grounds. All school heads have been instructed to communicate these guidelines to staff and students, with a warning that any violations will be taken seriously.
