BSEB Class 10 Topper Pushpanjali Kumari Receives ₹2 Lakh Prize and Laptop

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced significant rewards for Class 10 toppers, increasing the prize money this year to encourage academic excellence.

The top rank holder will receive ₹2 lakh, while the second and third rank holders will get ₹1.5 lakh and ₹1 lakh, respectively. Additionally, the top 10 students will be awarded laptops, certificates of appreciation, and medals to honor their achievements.

Moreover, the top three students will also receive Kindle e-book readers, promoting their future educational pursuits. For those who secure ranks 4 to 10, cash prizes ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 will be awarded along with laptops, ensuring recognition for high performers beyond the top three.

The Bihar government has further introduced financial support through the Deshratna Dr Rajendra Prasad Merit Scholarship scheme, providing Class 10 toppers with a monthly scholarship of ₹2,000 during their higher secondary education. This initiative aims to alleviate financial constraints and support further studies.

Officials stated that these enhanced rewards reflect the state's commitment to promoting education and recognizing merit, extending beyond one-time cash prizes to ongoing academic support.

Pushpanjali Kumari, a student from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya in Jamui, excelled in the BSEB Class 10 examination with 492 marks (98.4%). Coming from a family of educators, she has consistently performed well and expressed pride in her school’s reputation. Aspiring to become a scientist, she also enjoys dancing and painting.
