Joe and Jill Biden Welcome New Puppies: Meet Boo and Scout
In a heartwarming addition to their family, Joe and Jill Biden have adopted a pair of black Lab-mix puppies named Boo and Scout. The siblings were rescued from a shelter in Tennessee and are now settling into their new home in Delaware.
The adoption was facilitated by a local animal welfare organization, which shared a delightful photo of the Bidens with the puppies and their cat, Willow. The organization, Humane Animal Partners, matched the Bidens with the dogs after learning of their interest in adopting two black Labrador retrievers.
Originally named Linda and Rocky, Boo and Scout were chosen for the Bidens due to their friendly nature, with staff believing they would be a great fit for the family. The Bidens decided to bring the puppies home on a trial basis before finalizing the adoption.
The couple was previously known for their German shepherds during their White House tenure. They recently opted not to reclaim their dogs, Major and Commander, after leaving the White House. Additionally, their beloved German shepherd, Champ, passed away in 2021 at the age of 13.
Patrick Carroll, CEO of Humane Animal Partners, expressed excitement about the match, emphasizing that the team intentionally selected Boo and Scout for the Bidens. The couple's new furry friends are sure to bring joy and companionship into their lives.
