GATE 2026 Admit Card Update: Official Announcement

The release of the admit card for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026, initially expected today, January 7, has been postponed. An official from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati stated that the new release date will be communicated on the official exam website.


Originally scheduled for January 2, the release of the admit card has been delayed, with a notice on the official site indicating: "The release date of the GATE 2026 admit card has been postponed. A revised date will be announced soon."


Candidates can find updates regarding the admit card at gate2026.iitg.ac.in.


The GATE exam is set for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. It will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the second from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.


The exam consists of 30 test papers, and candidates may choose to appear for up to two papers.

  1. Visit the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
  2. Click on the GATE 2026 admit card download link on the homepage.
  3. Enter your login details.
  4. Submit and download your admit card.

The GATE is a national-level examination that evaluates candidates' understanding of various undergraduate subjects, facilitating admission to Master's and Doctoral programs, as well as recruitment in certain Public Sector Undertakings.
