CM Naidu Advocates Comprehensive Reform of College Curriculum in Andhra Pradesh

In a recent address, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the urgent need for a comprehensive reform of the college curriculum. He stated that the educational framework must be realigned to meet the current demands of the industry.

Naidu highlighted that enhancing the college education system is crucial, urging for the introduction of new, demand-driven courses alongside updates to existing curricula. Such changes are necessary to strengthen the educational framework.

During a review of various departments, he pointed out the importance of improving university rankings. He specifically mentioned that Andhra University in Visakhapatnam and other institutions should strive for better positions in national rankings.

The Chief Minister also called for the Higher Education Council to take a more proactive role, with the Education Department leading the charge.

Naidu noted that the government has initiated several priority programs, directing officials to implement them efficiently and effectively to gain public trust.

Additionally, he addressed the issue of road safety, advocating for preventive measures over strict enforcement. He underscored the necessity of educating the public on traffic rules and the importance of wearing helmets.

On the topic of weather-related safety, Naidu urged that alerts should extend beyond mobile notifications. Field staff should be mobilized to inform communities about potential dangers, such as lightning risks.

Furthermore, he reiterated the need to expedite the construction of housing projects, stating that five lakh additional houses should be completed and allocated to beneficiaries without delay. This is in response to surveys indicating a demand for housing sites from nearly two lakh individuals.

In conclusion, Naidu launched the Aware 2.0 mobile application, developed by the Real Time Governance System, to enhance public engagement and information dissemination.
