IIT Roorkee’s Impressive Placement Surge: 555 Offers in Just Two Days

IIT Roorkee has kicked off its 2025–26 placement season on a high note, achieving 8 international offers and 428 domestic offers on the first day alone, totaling 555 offers by the end of the second day. This impressive start highlights a strong hiring momentum driven by extensive student preparation and diverse industry participation.

The placement season began as scheduled, with enthusiastic participation from both students and recruiters. The institute has broadened its recruiter base this year through strategic collaborations across sectors such as AI, data analytics, semiconductor technologies, sustainability, financial services, and core engineering. This approach ensures a well-rounded mix of job profiles aligned with the changing needs of the industry.

Day 1: 8 International Offers and 428 Domestic Offers

As the first slot concluded on December 1, the institute secured 8 international offers along with 428 domestic offers, marking a significant increase over last year's figures. Numerous recruiters from technology, research, consulting, finance, and core engineering sectors visited the campus, indicating a strong appetite for hiring despite a cautious global landscape.

Notable recruiters on Day 1 included Amazon, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and many others from both technology and core engineering sectors, such as BEL and HPCL.

The institute emphasized diversifying job profiles this year, providing opportunities across various interests ranging from high-end research to product management and sustainability roles.

Day 2: 42 Companies Participate, Total Offers Exceed 550

On December 2, momentum continued with 42 companies visiting the campus, bringing the total number of participating companies to 116 over the first two days, many offering multiple job roles.

Key recruiters on Day 2 included Accenture, American Express, Deutsche Bank, McKinsey & Company, VISA, and many more, showcasing a broad range of hiring in software engineering, AI/ML, product development, and consulting.
