Karnataka PUC-2 Exam Results: 81.58% Pass Rate Achieved

Bengaluru, Students across Karnataka achieved remarkable scores in the PUC-2 Examination-1 for 2026, with an overall pass percentage of 81.58% announced on Thursday.


The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board released a list of toppers across various streams.


The PUC-2 Exam-1 took place from February 28 to March 17 at 1,217 examination centers statewide.


A total of 694,545 students participated in the examination this year, with 566,608 successfully passing.


Notably, girls excelled with a pass percentage of 88.70%, compared to 83.65% for boys.


Residential PU colleges led the results with an impressive 93.99% pass rate, followed by unaided colleges at 90.73%, aided colleges at 78.72%, and government colleges at 57.11%.


In terms of categories, the General and 3A segments recorded the highest pass percentages at 92.69% and 92.22% respectively, while SC and ST categories showed significant improvement compared to last year.


When analyzing by medium, students studying in English medium outperformed with a 90.63% pass rate, while Kannada medium students had a rate of 76.41%.


A total of 170,529 students achieved distinction, and 295,385 passed in first class.


The Board announced that students can check their results on the official portal and through mobile applications.


The PUC-2 Examination-2 is set to occur from April 30 to May 13, 2026, with online registration open until April 17.


Additionally, online applications for scanned copies of answer scripts will be available from April 10 to April 15, and revaluation applications can be submitted between April 12 and April 17, with fees set at ₹530 per subject for scanned copies and ₹1,670 for revaluation.
