JEE Main 2026: Access the Provisional Answer Key for Paper 1 Now!

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the provisional answer key for JEE Main 2026 Paper I on February 4, 2026. Candidates who took the Joint Entrance Examination can access the provisional key on the official JEE Mains website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.


The objection window for candidates has opened and will remain operational until February 6, 2026, at 11:50 PM. According to the official notice, candidates can challenge the provisional answer keys by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 for each question contested.


To download the answer key, follow these simple steps:


  1. Visit the official JEE Mains website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. Click on the JEE Main Answer Key 2026 link displayed on the homepage.
  3. A new page will open where you will need to enter your login details.
  4. After submitting, your answer key will be shown on the screen.
  5. Review the answer key and download it for your records.
  6. It’s advisable to keep a hard copy for future reference.

The JEE Main session 1 examination occurred on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2026. The exam was conducted in two shifts on the first four days for Paper 1, with the first shift running from 9 AM to 12 PM and the second shift from 3 PM to 6 PM. Paper 2 was held in a single shift on the last date, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM.
