JEE Mains 2026 Registration: Key Dates and Application Process

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the JEE Mains 2026 schedule. Registration for Session 1 is set to begin in October 2025, with exams scheduled from January 21 to January 30, 2026.


For Session 2, applications will open in the last week of January 2026, with examinations taking place between April 1 and April 10, 2026.


The exams will likely be held in two shifts: the first from 9 AM to 12 noon and the second from 3 PM to 6 PM.


The JEE (Main) consists of two papers. Paper 1 is for admission to undergraduate engineering programs (B.E. / B. Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, and other institutions. It also serves as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is required for IIT admissions. Paper 2 is for B. Arch and B. Planning courses.

Follow these steps to register:


1. Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.


2. Click the registration link for JEE Main 2026 on the homepage.


3. Fill in the required details to create your account.


4. Log in to your account.


5. Complete the application form and pay the application fee.


6. Click submit and download the confirmation page.


7. Keep a printout for future reference.
