SSC Unveils 7,948 Tentative Vacancies for MTS and Havaldar Positions
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released a tentative list detailing 7,948 vacancies for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar positions for the year 2025.

According to the latest figures, there are 6,078 posts under the MTS (ages 18–25), 732 posts under the MTS (ages 18–27), and 1,138 positions available for Havaldar roles in CBIC and CBN units.
Of the total openings, 3,679 are unreserved, with 1,973 allocated for OBC, 859 for SC, 621 for ST, and 816 for EWS categories. Additionally, 310 vacancies are available for various PwD categories, and 731 are reserved for ex-servicemen.
Region-wise Distribution
The Northern Region has the highest number of vacancies, with Delhi alone offering 1,961 MTS posts. The Western Region, represented by Maharashtra, has 732 vacancies. In the Eastern Region, West Bengal contributes 542 posts, while the Southern Region sees significant contributions from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Telangana.
