Successful Conclusion of Rajasthan’s Fourth Army Recruitment Rally in Jodhpur
Jaipur (Rajasthan), November 25: The fourth army recruitment rally, organized by the Army Recruiting Office in Jodhpur, took place from November 10 to November 23. This event targeted candidates from nine districts including Ajmer, Barmer, Balotra, Jalore, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Phalodi, and Sirohi.
On November 24 and 25, an additional recruitment rally for Agniveers General Duty (Women Military Police) was held in Jodhpur, open to all districts of Rajasthan.
According to the Defence Public Relations Officer (PRO), the response was overwhelming, with a turnout exceeding 90%. Despite challenging weather conditions, the enthusiasm of the youth from Rajasthan was commendable.
To maintain integrity, drug tests were administered to ensure fair play during physical assessments. Stringent anti-touting measures were implemented to protect candidates from unscrupulous practices.
The successful completion of this rally marks the end of the first recruitment phase for the 2025-26 year. Candidates who pass the selection process will proceed to their respective Regimental Centres for training, commencing on July 1, 2026.
Additionally, General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff, paid homage at the National War Memorial, honoring Major Ramaswamy Parameswaran, a Param Vir Chakra awardee, on the anniversary of his sacrifice during Operation Pawan in Sri Lanka in 1987.
Operation Pawan was India's first major overseas peacekeeping mission, involving the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) to stabilize the region and disarm insurgents.
