Fitness expert Raj Ganpath emphasizes that these drugs are designed for individuals facing significant weight and metabolic challenges, rather than those simply looking to shed a few pounds.


According to Raj, if your BMI exceeds 30, or if it exceeds 27 with metabolic issues, you may qualify for these medications. However, it’s essential to combine their use with proper nutrition and regular exercise to mitigate potential side effects.


The coach recommends considering GLP-1 drugs if you need to lose over 20-25% of your body weight or if you struggle with serious metabolic conditions like diabetes or hypertension.


Raj also points out that individuals with visceral fat, which poses health risks, should consider these medications as they can help reduce this fat effectively.


On the other hand, if you're only aiming to lose 2-10 kg for aesthetic reasons and are otherwise healthy, these drugs may not be appropriate. Instead, focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle through diet, exercise, and stress management.


In conclusion, GLP-1 weight loss drugs can be a helpful tool for some, but they are not a universal solution. Always consult with a healthcare professional before making any decisions regarding weight loss medications.
