UPSC Announces Engineering Services Exam Results: 458 Candidates Recommended

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the results for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025, recommending a total of 458 candidates for various engineering positions within the Central government.

The results are based on the written examination conducted in August and the personality tests held during October and November, according to the UPSC's announcement.

Among the recommended candidates, 202 are from the civil engineering discipline, 116 from electronics and telecommunication, 79 from electrical engineering, and 61 from mechanical engineering.

Notably, 26 of the selected candidates belong to the category of persons with benchmark disabilities.

The UPSC had previously announced a total of 554 vacancies for the ESE 2025, distributed across civil engineering (251 positions), electronics and telecommunication (134), electrical (97), and mechanical engineering (72), inclusive of posts reserved for candidates with disabilities.

It's important to note that the candidature of 102 of the recommended candidates is provisional, pending verification of eligibility criteria.

The UPSC has also prepared a reserve list of 186 candidates across the four disciplines, which may be utilized as necessary under the Engineering Services Examination Rules, 2025.

Successful candidates will be appointed to a range of technical services, including the Indian Railways Service of Engineers, Indian Defence Service of Engineers, Central Water Engineering Service, Central Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Service, and the Border Roads Engineering Service.

For any inquiries regarding the examination or recruitment, candidates can visit the UPSC's facilitation counter, operational on weekdays from 10 AM to 5 PM.

The results will also be accessible on the UPSC's official website, with detailed mark sheets expected to be available within 15 days following the declaration of results.
