Uttar Pradesh to Create 1.5 Lakh Government Jobs by 2026

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced plans to create 1.5 lakh jobs by 2026, aiming to fulfill a broader target of 10 lakh jobs over the last decade.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently instructed officials to compile department-specific details of vacant positions to expedite the recruitment process.

After assessing the vacancies, the Chief Minister has approved the recruitment of these positions across various sectors.

The largest allocations will be in police and education, each receiving 50,000 posts, followed by 20,000 in the revenue department.

Additional roles will also be available in housing development, health, child development, nutrition, and prison services.

This initiative aims to set a record for the highest number of government jobs created in a single year.

By 2026, the government is on track to achieve its ambitious milestone of providing 10 lakh jobs in ten years, a historic achievement for the state.

To date, over 8.5 lakh jobs have been generated in the last 8.5 years through a transparent hiring process.

Recruitment advertisements are nearing completion, with processes already underway in several departments.
