Haq Box Office Update: Day 4 Collection Falls Short of ₹10 Crore
Haq box office update on day 4: The courtroom drama starring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi was released on Friday and experienced a solid start during its opening weekend.
Despite positive reviews and word-of-mouth buzz, the film saw a slight dip in earnings. On Monday, it collected approximately ₹1 crore, bringing its total to ₹9.95 crore.
The film had a strong opening and showed impressive growth over the weekend, with a 100% increase on Saturday and steady performance on Sunday.
Yami Gautam expressed her gratitude for the film's success, stating, “The power of ‘Word of mouth’ .No foul-play or any gimmicks. Straight from our hearts to the audience. It’s a rarity & I shall cherish this moment for life.”
About Haq: The film centers around Shazia (played by Yami Gautam), a woman who faces a tumultuous legal battle after her husband, Abbas Khan (Emraan Hashmi), brings home a second wife and subsequently ends their marriage through triple talaq. It draws inspiration from the true story of Shah Bano Begum, whose case in 1985 led the Supreme Court to uphold the rights of divorced Muslim women regarding maintenance.
Directed by Suparn S Varma, 'Haq' also features performances by Vartika Singh, Danish Husain, Sheeba Chadha, and Aseem Hattangady.
