This new endeavor would mark another collaboration between Khan and Aaryan, following their work on the 2024 sports drama, "Chandu Champion," which focuses on India's first Paralympics gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar.
Khan mentioned, "We are still discussing ideas and hope to announce details soon." He emphasized the necessity of coordinating schedules with Aaryan and securing studio support to move forward with the project.
He described the film as an engaging human interest drama, rich in themes of politics and society. "It's a compelling human story that fits perfectly in my wheelhouse," Khan stated.
The acclaimed director, known for films like "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan," expressed his enthusiasm about collaborating with producer Sameer Nair and Applause Entertainment. "Sameer has a knack for selecting intriguing stories and supporting them effectively," Khan noted.
At the festival, Khan is also presenting "My Melbourne," an anthology film showcasing diverse narratives influenced by the multicultural environment of Australia. This film features contributions from four directors and tackles significant topics such as diversity and race.
Khan believes that the film industry thrives on audience support and encourages viewers to embrace unconventional cinema. He pointed out that smaller films often struggle for visibility, emphasizing the need for theaters to provide adequate showtimes for such projects.
In essence, Khan's upcoming project with Aaryan promises to be an exciting addition to his filmography, reflecting his commitment to telling impactful stories.
