Jaya Bachchan’s Fiery Response to Paparazzi: Are They Qualified to Represent Media?
At a recent event in Mumbai, veteran actor and politician Jaya Bachchan voiced her frustrations regarding the paparazzi, questioning their qualifications and behavior. During a panel discussion at the 'We The Women' event, she made it clear that her relationship with the paparazzi is far from amicable.
Jaya, who has a background in media as her father was a journalist, expressed her disdain, stating, "It is strange. I am the product of the media, but my relationship with the paparazzi is zero." She further criticized their conduct, asking, "Who are these people? Are they trained to be representing the people of this country? You call them media?"
With a passionate tone, she elaborated on her concerns, saying, "These men outside wearing slim pants and dirty clothes with mobiles in their hands think just because they have a mobile, they can take your picture and say what they want." She questioned their background and education, asking, "Kaha se aatey he? Kis tarah ke education he?"
Jaya Bachchan has a history of confronting paparazzi and has often spoken about her discomfort with being photographed without consent. Her recent comments once again highlight the ongoing debate about the ethics of paparazzi in the celebrity world.
Most recently, she appeared in the film 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' (2023), which starred Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
