Madhuri Dixit Shares Her Sons’ Discovering Her Stardom

Madhuri Dixit, known for her iconic roles in Bollywood, recently shared a heartwarming story about her sons' realization of her stardom. In a podcast conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, she revealed that her children had little knowledge of her fame until they moved back to India.

During a family outing to the movies, they were met with a swarm of paparazzi, leaving them bewildered. Madhuri explained, "They were so confused, asking me, ‘Mom, what is this?'" It was a pivotal moment for her sons as they began to understand the extent of her celebrity status.

As time passed, school friends informed them about their mother's fame, helping them piece together her iconic career. Eventually, in college, they started watching her films, with her elder son expressing surprise after seeing 'Dil To Pagal Hai' for the first time, asking why she had never shown it to him before.

Madhuri also shared insights into her relationship with Dr. Shriram Nene, whom she married in 1999 after a six-month courtship. The couple initially lived in the United States, raising their sons, Arin and Ryan, before returning to Mumbai in 2011 to reconnect with Indian culture and further her acting career.

On the professional front, Madhuri is set to star in the upcoming series 'Mrs Deshpande', a psychological thriller where she plays a convicted serial killer who collaborates with her estranged son, a detective, to catch a copycat murderer. This role promises to be one of her most challenging yet.
