Celina Jaitly’s Heartfelt Message After Delhi HC Hearing on Her Brother’s Detention in UAE
Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has expressed her deep emotions on social media following a significant ruling from the Delhi High Court regarding her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, who has been detained in the UAE since September 2024.
Celina's heartfelt note came shortly after the court ordered the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to assist in facilitating communication between her and her brother. The court directed the MEA to appoint a nodal officer to help establish contact using available channels, including the TAMM app.
In her emotional update, Celina shared an old family photo and wrote, “Ma & Pa.. I am doing my best! I haven’t spoken to Vikrant in 15 months. Today, hope was placed on record.. Thank you, Universe! My petition for access and legal representation for Vikrant was heard today. The MEA filed its Status Report and appointed a Nodal Officer to coordinate with me.”
She continued, “While I still haven’t been able to speak to Vikrant, the Additional Solicitor General informed the court about their efforts to facilitate communication.”
Celina expressed gratitude towards the court and the Additional Solicitor General for recognizing her family's contributions to the Indian armed forces. The next court date is set for December 23, and she remains hopeful for the future.
As she navigates these challenging times, Celina has requested privacy and encouraged the media to contact her legal counsel for inquiries.
