Chitrangada Singh Praises Salman Khan’s Authenticity in ‘Battle of Galwan’
Mumbai, Actor Chitrangada Singh is thrilled to star alongside Salman Khan in the upcoming film 'Battle of Galwan'. She describes him as an artist who is unapologetically himself, a rarity in an industry where many wear masks.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, this much-anticipated war drama is rooted in the 2020 conflict between India and China in Galwan Valley.
In an interview, Singh noted, "He is very tuned into what his fans want him to be, and he is exactly what they love. The most amazing thing about him is that there is zero pretension. I’ve not encountered anyone in the industry who is so genuine; he is exactly who he is. He speaks when he wants and remains quiet when he chooses, adhering to his own rhythm."
She admires Khan for being authentic and not conforming to industry norms, stating, "It's strange because in this industry, sometimes you do things for effect. What I admire about him is that he remains true to himself, which is tough but beloved by his fans for its realness."
While Singh refrained from revealing specifics about her role, she praised Khan's improvisational acting style. "He's secure in his craft, which allows for a spontaneous atmosphere on set. The scenes evolve until they feel just right, making the process enjoyable for everyone involved," she shared.
Singh reminisced about a potential collaboration with Khan in the past, mentioning a project that never materialized. "There was a film he wanted to produce, a remake directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, but it never came to fruition," she recalled.
Currently, Singh is receiving accolades for her latest film, 'Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders', which features a stellar cast, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte.
'Battle of Galwan' is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026.
