Kapil Sharma Responds to Criticism for Comparing Cricket Coach to Shah Rukh Khan
During a recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, host Kapil Sharma drew a comparison between cricket coach Amol Muzumdar and Shah Rukh Khan's iconic character from the film Chak De India. This remark was made in the context of celebrating the women's cricket team's achievements, which included a noteworthy win.
As Kapil praised Amol, saying, "Since you won the cricket World Cup, people are comparing you to Shah Rukh Khan online. Do you feel like Shah Rukh?" Amol humorously responded, "No, not like Chak De." However, this light-hearted banter did not sit well with everyone.
An X user criticized Kapil, stating, "Idiot @KapilSharmaK9 should know that the real hero was Mir Ranjan Negi, not Kabir Khan!" In response, Kapil defended his comment, clarifying, "I said Shah Rukh Khan in a humorous way, which you will never understand." He added a playful jab, saying, "Your singing is out of tune!"
Another user came to Kapil's defense, pointing out that Kapil was simply referencing a film. Kapil echoed this support by thanking the lawyer's clarification.
When a fan suggested he ignore such negativity, Kapil humorously replied, "I was just sitting in the toilet when I replied to him!"
The current season of The Great Indian Kapil Show features various guests, including the women's cricket team following their World Cup victory. Kapil continues to entertain with his witty remarks and engaging interactions.
