BTS Announces Long-Awaited Comeback in March 2026
NEW YORK — Get ready for an explosive comeback in 2026: K-pop sensation BTS has announced their return date.
According to a message shared by BigHit Music, BTS will make their long-awaited comeback on March 20, 2026, after nearly four years away from the spotlight.
The hiatus came as all seven members — RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, Jung Kook, and j-hope — fulfilled South Korea’s mandatory military service.
BigHit Music confirmed the date on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “March 20th comeback confirmed.”
Suga was the last member to be released from military service in June 2025, having served as a social service agent due to a shoulder injury. The other members completed their service in the army.
BTS staggered their enlistments to allow for individual projects during their break. Last summer, they hinted at a world tour and announced plans for a new album to be released in spring 2026, with work on the project starting in July 2025.
The upcoming album will reflect the thoughts and ideas of each member, showcasing their creative journey. This will mark BTS's first album since their 2022 anthology, “Proof,” and their last studio album, “Be,” which was released in 2020.
