On December 27, 2025, Prashant performed live at Club Yak and Yeti Everest in Dubai, where he captivated audiences with his electrifying presence. The venue described the night as full of excitement and unbeatable vibes, marking it as one of his final appearances.

Prashant's death came just days after celebrating his 43rd birthday on January 4. His friend, Mahesh Sewa, shared the news of his passing, stating that he died at his home in Janak Puri, New Delhi. Despite being taken to the hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.
Born in 1983 in Darjeeling, Prashant Tamang rose to fame after winning Indian Idol at the age of 24. He also starred in various Nepali films and was last seen in Season 2 of Paatal Lok. He is survived by his wife, Geeta Thapa, and their daughter, Ariah.
