Adrija Roy from Anupamaa Engaged to Vignuesh Iyer: Wedding Plans in Two Years

Television star Adrija Roy, recognized for her role as Raahi in the popular show Anupamaa, is set to get engaged to Vignuesh Iyer on January 25. The engagement ceremony will be an intimate gathering at his farmhouse, attended by close family and friends.

Adrija shared her thoughts on their relationship, stating, "I think it was our personalities that brought us closer. We are both very soft and down-to-earth. I had always wanted to be with someone outside my industry, and he felt just right. We feel like soulmates." Their shared love for animals also plays a significant role in their bond, as Vignuesh cares for around 260 dogs and cows at his farmhouse.

For the engagement, Adrija has taken a short leave from Anupamaa, expressing gratitude towards her production team for their support. Regarding their wedding, Adrija mentioned they are not in a hurry to tie the knot. "We don’t plan to get married this year. He is South Indian (Tamil), and I am Bengali, so our cultures are completely different. My dream is to have a wedding that follows both South Indian and Bengali traditions, and that requires proper planning. We are thinking of getting married within the next two years," she explained.

Adrija's Acting Journey

In Anupamaa, Adrija portrays Raahi, a character depicted as a compassionate and strong-willed young woman who navigates various personal and professional challenges. Before her role in Anupamaa, she debuted in the Bengali series Bedini Moluar Kotha in 2016 and starred in several other popular Bengali shows.

Adrija made her transition to Hindi television with a lead role in Durga Aur Charu in 2023, followed by appearances in Imlie and Kundali Bhagya before joining the cast of Anupamaa.
