Amitabh Bachchan Reflects on KBC 17 and His Stand-Up Comedy Experience
After the conclusion of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) season 17, Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to express his emotional reflections.
The legendary actor discussed the 'withdrawal symptoms' he experiences post-show and reminisced about his attempt at stand-up comedy during the season.
In his blog, he wrote, "Some withdrawal symptoms from some… the KBC time lies waiting and anxious for some… So… gentle recapitulation… the disbelief that they have made it to the garam kursi (hot seat)… and the effort of an offering of comfort."
Amitabh also humorously noted his 'futile and embarrassing attempt' at stand-up comedy, expressing gratitude for being among the greats in the field. He recalled the episode featuring comedians Anubhav Singh Bassi, Abhishek Upamanyu, Harsh Gujral, and Ravi Gupta, where he tried his hand at comedy, leaving a memorable impression on the audience.
Furthermore, he reflected on the victories that lifted his spirits during a challenging day, stating, "In a day that smelt of emotional defeat… two victories come by… and it changes all… even greater than the strongest coffee!!" He celebrated India's triumph over New Zealand in cricket and Chelsea's comeback in football.
Looking ahead, Amitabh Bachchan is set to reprise his role as Ashwatthama in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, alongside stars Kamal Haasan and Prabhas. Although Deepika Padukone was previously attached to the project, reports suggest she may be replaced by Sai Pallavi, pending official confirmation.
