Madonna’s Long-Lost Celta Vigo Jersey: A Surprise Discovery
In an unexpected twist, pop icon Madonna has confirmed that she possesses a long-lost jersey from the Spanish soccer club Celta Vigo, which has been searching for it for over three decades.
The revelation came in response to Celta Vigo's public plea for information about the baby-blue-and-white jersey Madonna wore during a concert at Balaidos Stadium in 1990. She took to social media to share, "This shirt is hanging in my archives! I am wearing and representing your team in spirit!"
The club's president, Marián Mouriño Terrazo, expressed their admiration for Madonna, stating, "Over time we came to better understand what you stood for back then: questioning established norms and standing up to those who try to tell you what you can or cannot do. We hold on to the hope of finding the garment you once wore."
Celta Vigo had released a heartfelt letter inviting Madonna to get in touch if she had any information about the jersey's whereabouts. The club's outreach included a video featuring a choir performing Madonna's 1989 hit, "Like a Prayer," at a recent match, further emphasizing their connection.
As the search continues, fans and soccer enthusiasts alike are curious to see if the legendary jersey will make a public appearance once again.
